Basic Military Training
It was pretty bad. All the tekan-ing and late book-outs - it destroyed my social life man. Haha. Made my life a living hell. Field camp, SITEST, PT.. soo torturous. I also made a choice then not to go command school. Haha. I just want to breeze through the army. Alright, but it's not that bad after all, probably due to the group of us, guys, that really supported each other in such times of crisis and trauma. Haha. Big thank you to my section-mates at BMTC1 'Z' Coy Plt4 Section 4. Haha. They really made my life soo much passable then. Oh and special thanks to my buddies Fahmi and Kah Fai then! Haha. Thanks so much for everything. =D
A levels results
The moment of truth. That single piece of paper (not even A4 sized!) can determine where one's life will head towards. The piece of paper that all JC student depend on. I could still vividly remember that very day. I rushed back from Tekong to TJC, thank goodness just on time. Haha. I was in No. 4! LOL. Alright, then they flashed the results on the screen.. 3A's.. 4A's.. 5A's.. 6A's.. Slides after slides flash across me but all without my name on it. I was really discouraged. But finally, a slide with my name flashed across the screen. 7A's! I was elated!Haha. It's like the best thing that has happened to me in my life. Haha. Called my family to inform them. It was some sort of happiness that I've never felt before. Things haven't been going on well the couple of months before. First was BMT.. then my Grandpa passed away. It was really a great relief for my family. I'm really grateful to the people that encouraged me and supported me all the way to make my achievement from a dream to reality..
My class! Love 01/06!
And the bunch of tutors in TJ that enriched my lives with such passion and enthusiasm. I owe my results to these people man!
General Paper - Mrs Bernice Yong, Ms Tan Chork Meng
Chinese - Mr Koh (Xiao Xu!)
Mathematics - Mrs Pang Lay Har(Now MJC VP), Mrs Lim Kia Huan (VP)
Physics - Mr Desai (Kudos to him. Physics became a breeze thanks to him!)
Chemistry - Mrs Aileen Lim (My CT! and dear gan ma!)
Biology - Ms Ng, Mrs Ng Chee Yen
Economics - Mrs Jagit Than (She made my E evolve into an A!)
Then came another decision I have to make - University. A levels gave meendless opportunities to pursue anything I want at various top universities in the world. Consulted various people, but I ended up choosing to study at NUS, pursuing 2 bachelors degrees in Chemical Engineering and Accountancy.
My Acceptance Letter from NUS
Chem. Eng. was something that I became passionate in in junior college. Mainly thanks to my chemistry and physics tutors. They were so passionate about their specialisations that it influenced me alot. I became very passionate about the environment and petroleum processing, hence, my core degree. Accountancy is something that I've never experienced before, but I wanted to experience something new. Haha. And it's a safety net. So why not? Haha.Motorisation Support Unit
Ok, after BMT came unit. Haha. I got posted to Pasir Laba Camp to be an M113 operator. Haha. I can still remember the posting result. Haha. To be honest, I was quite afraid. Haha. I did not have any idea what it's like to drive an armoured vehicle. And the past experience at BMT did not help my pessimism. Alright, when I reported there, I was sooo happy to see a few people I know. Haha. At least I didn't feel that lost. Ok but before that, I was REALLY LOST. Haha. The camp was HUGE. I walked around, carrying my field pack, dragging my duffel bag.. It was torturous. Anyway, after I went to the unit, things was pretty good. People there are great, not soo much playing of rank, and the superiors are pretty good to us! Haha. I was so thankful of my vocation. I was initially from Support Platoon, but then I was shifted to Platoon 1. At first I felt really lost, coz I have to re-adapt again. But thank goodness the guys from platoon 1 were pretty accomodating and nice people. Adapted pretty quickly and yes, they are indeed a bunch of good people.1st Motorisation Support Unit
Alright, the schedule was pretty tight though. First was driving phase. Then came all the outfields and exercises were extreme tortures. It tested my concentration and fitness. Haha. But I've got to admit, it was great fun! Haha. Thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout all these outfields. All the vehicle maintenance was dirty and messy, but I didn't mind! I had a really good time and sense of achievement after accomplishing somethings. Haha. Also got to interact alot with my Vehicle Commanders who are pretty good people. Kum Sin, Kai Hong, Zhi Sheng. And my Platoon Commanders Poh Chen Wei and Lim Wei Sheng. Then came Exercise Wallaby 2008. It was my first exercise overseas. It was a experience of a life time. Although the training and exercises were tough, and the weather was VERY cold, I loved what I was doing there! The people, the environment, the culture, the work.. It was an experience that I would never exchange for with anything.

Alright. Thats about all for the more significant activities of the year. Then came December. The holiday season. The university kid's exams are also more or less done. Hence, I had the chance to spend precious time with my friends! Haha. All the K sessions, visits to the Zoo with 01 peeps, X'mas with TMS peeps, and finally New Year's Day Countdown with 01 peeps! All these become precious parts of my memory.K sessions and outings
