Alright, it's my first time travelling out of Singapore on my own, and so far, it has been a pretty mixed experience. Taking the plane alone's perfectly fine. I had an elderly Dutch couple sitting beside me who were really nice people. And most of the time I'm sleeping. So yea, everything was fine.
Next up, Sciphol Airport in Amsterdam. good but nothing near if I were to compare to Changi. Amazingly everyone I met's perfectly fluent in English! Yea plus the airport's really organised, so no problems getting around. I took a domestic flight from Amsterdam Sciphol Airport to Lyon Saint Exupery Airport. I'm telling you the plane's really small! Haha. But the good thing was just now stable it was throughout the 2 hours flight. Really nice. But the bad thing came next - my luggage did not reach Lyon. Apparently Sciphol loaded the wrong set of luggages into the plane! Damn ridiculous. But oh well, at least I got help instantly as almost half theplane did not receive they luggages. Air France also gave some freebies so everything was ok. Anyway, I wasn't that upset too, bcoz they would send my luggage to my hostel for me, making it easier for me to travel around. Haha.Yeps thank goodness I heeded the advise to pack a set of clothes in my hand luggage! So happily without my super bulky luggage, I took a coach down to Grenoble. It was really convenient and really fast. A good transportation system here. Yeps, stopped at the Grenoble main bus/train station....
To be continued... I'm getting really frustrated by the weirdly arranged keyboard I'm using at the internet cafe in Grenoble downtown area now. Will continue the post as well as upload some photos when I get my room's internet connection up!
